Covid-19 Update

May 6, 2020

Dear friends,

We hope you are all keeping well during these very challenging times.

It's been one month since our first brief update on measures adopted at Spectrum to address the Covid-19 pandemic.  Last month we were put in the difficult position of suspending our operations and temporarily laying off our valued team. The good news is that our entire team is now back at work with the assistance of the Government of Canada Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy.

While things are still not back to business as usual, we welcome the opportunity to bring back our team and continue implementing our plan to support our customer needs through this pandemic.

Last month we put in place a pro-active program in order to keep our customers abreast of the current traffic situation. We will be compiling a list of data sources pre and post Covid-19 and will provide that summary to our customers in the following weeks ahead.

Additionally, two weeks ago we launched Spectrum Data Exchange, a new web based data exchange which allows Spectrum customers to publish and exchange / sell data to the public at large.  As of this time, we have two of our customers publishing data to the exchange: Nextrans Consulting Engineers and Crozier Consulting Engineers. With 1,450 active turning movement counts available in the exchange, the exchange offers a valuable resource of accurate and verifiable traffic data during these difficult times. We hope that the exchange will continue to grow as additional customers make the decision to publish their data in the exchange, and we are very excited to see how the planning and engineering community will use this new tool now that it is open to the public.

We'll continue updating you as the situation changes and hope to continue serving your needs throughout these challenging times.

Your Spectrum Team.
