Roundabout studies provide the turning movement volume (TMV) of a roundabout, detailing the entry, circulating and exit flow rate for each roundabout leg, form origin to destination. This data can be used to determine the capacity an performance efficiency of the different roundabout approaches, and the roundabout as a whole.
Sight lines make it difficult to manually count vehicle volumes at roundabouts. The Miovision system allows us to collect TMV data for roundabouts of any size; from small three-leg roundabouts to large five-leg occluded roundabouts that interchange major arteries. Pedestrians, bicycles and a full range of vehicle classification options are also available.
